Depending on brand, most, or sometimes all of the solar components, including the roof mounts, automatically carry a warranty of 25 years at no extra cost. This means if a system component were to fail or not perform correctly, you are 100% covered.

THE #1 QUESTION TO ASK; HOW LONG WILL MY SYSTEM TAKE TO PAY FOR ITSELF?
7.5 Years
Most companies completely avoid this topic in order to get away with unethically overcharging for solar installations. At Jackson Solar, we believe that if you are really saving money by going solar, then your system should pay for itself. In order to do that reliably, it must pay for itself well within its warrantied period. **We aim to provide a payoff period of 7.5 YEARS OR LESS**, or at most, less than half the life of a typical warrantied solar panel system. This means the total installed cost of your system should make financial sense based on the amount of electricity it is expected to produce and the utility costs it is expected to offset. Because utility rates tend to increase over time, we also factor projected utility-rate inflation into our calculations rather than assuming electricity prices will remain unchanged for the life of the system. See the examples below for system prices that would achieve our goal of an approximately 7.5-year payoff period, based on Southeast Missouri's average peak sun hours, current average utility rates, and projected utility-rate increases.
8 kW SYSTEM - $16,000
Using Southeast Missouri’s average of 4 peak sun hours per day, an average utility rate of $0.17 per kWh, and a projected 3% annual increase in utility rates, an 8 kW solar system should cost no more than about $16,000 total—including installation—to pay for itself in approximately 7.5 years.
9 kW SYSTEM - $18,000
Using Southeast Missouri’s average of 4 peak sun hours per day, an average utility rate of $0.17 per kWh, and a projected 3% annual increase in utility rates, a 9 kW solar system should cost no more than about $18,000 total—including installation—to pay for itself in approximately 7.5 years.
10 kW SYSTEM - $20,000

Jackson Solar LLC, located in Jackson, MO, is owned and operated by Jacob Long, a Certified Electrician and Southeast Missouri State University Graduate, who graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor's of Science in Sustainable Energy Systems as it relates to solar energy. Jacob also holds an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S) in the field of Electrochemistry and is certified by NABCEP. Business partner Dylan Kaminskey, who also holds an A.A.S in the field of Electrochemistry, joins Jacob in leading Jackson Solar with a strong foundation in the science behind solar energy.
As a company, Jackson Solar has successfully completed hundreds of solar panel installation projects. The belief of our company is that providing environmentally ethical solar energy generation systems should come at a fair, honest, and ethical price, and that communities, no matter how big or small, should work together to provide a cleaner earth for our generation and generations to come. For us, it is so much more than running a business. Many fly-by-night solar companies, and door-to-door solar sales companies are jumping from city to city, unethically overcharging those unfamiliar with the solar industry, in many cases falsely educating them, and in turn creating a poor reputation for going solar. Jackson Solar aims to change this with transparency in pricing, education, and loyal customer service provided to the community for now and many years to come!
