Effective 1/1/26: All Generac service requests are subject to a $500 Site Intake & Diagnostic Fee, which is required prior to scheduling.

This fee covers non-warranty services required to evaluate and accept a site visit, including intake, diagnostics, travel risk, coordination, and documentation. Warranty labor, if applicable, is billed separately and submitted strictly in accordance with Generac policy.

-Payment of the $500 Site Intake & Diagnostic Fee is required to process your service request

-Service requests are limited to sites within 2.5 hours of ZIP code 63755

-Typical processing time after submission is 2–8 weeks 

Please Note – Internet Connectivity Issues

Generac does not cover most internet or network-related issues under warranty. Responsibility for diagnosing and correcting connectivity issues typically falls to the homeowner and is not considered a Generac equipment failure.

If your inverter is powered on but the blue internet indicator light—typically located in the lower-right corner of the screen—is off, this indicates that the inverter is not connected to your home’s internet. In these cases, the system itself is usually functioning properly, but monitoring and communication are unavailable until connectivity is restored.

Troubleshooting or correcting internet connectivity issues still requires an on-site visit.

A $500 Site Intake & Diagnostic Fee is required for all Generac site visits and must be paid prior to scheduling.
This fee applies even when the issue is determined to be network-related or non-warranty in nature.
