Generac System – Site Intake & Diagnostic Visit – Jackson Solar

Effective for all Generac service visits scheduled on or after 1/1/26

Thank you for choosing Jackson Solar for your Generac system service needs. As an independent service provider, all Generac site visits are scheduled under a standardized site intake and diagnostic structure.

Please review the information below carefully before proceeding to checkout.

Service Overview

This service applies exclusively to Generac solar systems that were not installed by Jackson Solar

  • Service is provided on a first-come, first-served basis
  • Availability is limited to sites within 2.5 hours of ZIP code 63755
  • Requests outside this service radius cannot be accepted
  • Typical processing time after form submission is 2–8 weeks

Site Intake & Diagnostic Fee (Required)

Starting 1/1/26, a $500 site intake and diagnostic fee is required for all Generac site visits and is DUE BEFORE SERVICES ARE RENDERED AND IS REQUIRED TO PROCESS YOUR SERVICE REQUEST.

This fee covers non-warranty services required prior to and in support of a site visit, including intake, diagnostics, travel risk, coordination, and documentation. Warranty labor, if applicable, is billed separately and submitted strictly in accordance with Generac policy. This fee is required to accept and schedule a site visit and applies to every on-site visit regardless of warranty status or outcome.

The fee covers:

  • Technician travel to and from the site
  • On-site system inspection and diagnostics
  • Evaluation of wiring, inverter operation, communication status, and system performance
  • Documentation required for Generac warranty processing, when applicable

This fee is charged even if the issue is determined to be non-warranty related or no repair is performed.

Inspection & Repair Process

During the site visit, our technicians will:

  • Inspect the Generac inverter and associated system components
  • Verify system operation, electrical connections, and safety compliance
  • Test system performance and communication status
  • Identify any faults, failures, or required corrective actions

If repairs or component replacements are required:

  • Replacement parts are not included in the site intake and diagnostic fee
  • Parts, additional labor, or follow-up visits will be quoted and invoiced separately if not covered by Generac.
  • Payment for parts and additional work is required before ordering or scheduling

Important Connectivity Notice (Very Common Issue)

Generac does not cover most internet or network-related issues under warranty.

If your inverter is powered on but the blue internet indicator light (typically located in the lower-right corner of the screen) is off, this indicates a loss of internet connection, not a Generac equipment failure.

  • Network and connectivity issues are the homeowner’s responsibility
  • Troubleshooting or correcting these issues still requires a site visit
  • The $500 site intake and diagnostic fee still applies, even when the issue is network-related

Payment Policy

  • Full payment of the $500 site intake and diagnostic fee is required at checkout
  • Service will not be scheduled until payment is received
  • Payments are accepted by credit or debit card only
  • Invoices for additional work or parts must be paid prior to scheduling follow-up service
